Once you decide to sign on a contract with a suitable school, you should follow below instructions in order to acquire the E-2(language teaching) visa:


Step One

...Prepare the required documents and send them to us by DHL/Fedex/UPS. ..

Teachers from Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom
..and United States of America:

1. Original University degree or a copy of your degree with Apostille Certificate or Certificate of Graduation
....with Apostille Certificate or a Certificate of the Degree Obtainment with Apostille Certificate.
2. Two official sealed transcripts with a university stamp and/or a signature of certification officer (academic
.. advisor) across the flap on the back of the envelope (one for a visa issuance number in Korea and one
.. might be requested when you apply for the visa application in your home country) - The transcripts must
.. include your final grades if you were a recent graduate.
3. Criminal background check with Apostille Certificate (only acceptable if the criminal background check
.. was issued within 6 months of the E-2 visa application).
4. A copy of the picture page of your passport (with remaining validity of at least 6 months from the E-2 visa
.. application).
5. 6 passport-sized actual photos(Total- Two for a visa issuance number in Korea, One or two for the visa
.. application in your home country and Two for an align registration card upon your arrival in Korea.
6. A copy of the first page of your university's website (main page).
7. A copy of your resume (with your signature).
8. Original signed contract (will be provided).
9. A completed and signed health statement form(will be provided).

* An Apostille Certificate is an official certificate issued to documents so they will be recognized in member
.. countries without further Legalization. Typically the Apostille Certificate is issued by the Department of
.. Foreign Affairs or the State from which the document originates although in some cases another state can
.. issue the Apostille. Once a document has had an Apostille Certificate attached to it confirming the
.. authenticity of signatures and seals it can be presented to any country which recognizes the Apostille.
.. The authority receiving the document should then accept the seals or signatures as true and valid without
.. requesting further evidence or proof.

Teachers from CANADA:

1. Original University degree or a copy of your degree with the Korean Consular Seal or a Certificate of
.. Graduation with the Korean Consular Seal or a Certificate of the Degree Obtainment with the Korean
.. Consular Seal.
2. Two official sealed transcripts with a university stamp and/or a signature of certification officer (academic
.. advisor) across the flap on the back of the envelope (one for a visa issuance number in Korea and one
.. might be requested when you apply for the visa application in your home country) - The transcripts must

Each document requiring the Consular Seal must first be notarized by a notary public or a lawyer registered in Canada.

5. $2.20 per document (Cash or Money Order only, Personal cheque is not acceptable)

B: Vulnerable Sector Search Police Certificate Confirmation
1. Notarized vulnerable sector search police certificate
2. Original certificate
3. Photocopy and an original of the photo ID
4. $2.20 per document (Cash or Money Order only, Personal cheque is not acceptable)

.. In case of applying by mail, a Prepaid Return Envelope (only Xpresspost is accepted) is also required
.. to return the documents.

Step Two

...We apply for your Visa Issuance Confirmation Number at the immigration bureau. It usually takes about
...2~8 business days to obtain the Visa Issuance Confirmation Number for your E-2 Visa.

Step Three

...We will e-mail you the Visa Issuance Confirmation Number and an application.

Step Four

...Once you receive your Visa Issuance Confirmation Number, bring an application with the Visa Issuance
...Confirmation Number, one passport-sized photo, application fee, your passport and a sealed transcripts
...(if requested) to the nearest Korean Consulate or Embassy to apply for your E-2 visa. You'll be able to pick
...up your passport with the visa in 3~5 days. You may do this step by using a priority mail service however;
